Edo, Udoma is one of Nigeria’s most collected living artist coming from a modest background and as a devout Christian he uses his art as a vehicle to communicate and spread inherent life affirming values and to promote his cultural values. In creating visual art, the artist collects ideas, energy and impressions from his personal experiences,nature and surroundings, and then, using the skills and talent he possess, portray their interpretation on canvas. The impressions he treasures are as singularly brilliant as his ability to convey them on canvas, so the final effect is the visual aesthetics represented on canvas, alive with character... He explores the relationships among the natural world, the human activity, color, beauty and the unknown, and interprets these ideas through art that is pleasing to the eye and the soul. He has held several exhibitions and some group exhibitions and has won several awards in art including "BAOBAB for women human right talents competition awards" (2006), "best in wild life conservation art awards" (1998).... He studied Fine and Applied art from the Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku, Rivers State Nigeria, and in the University of Nigeria Nsuka and is still making further studies on art and research. He also studied Multi-Media graphic and Cinematography.
